Stop Selling the Wrong Thing – Setting Your Business Up for Success.

All my fitness industry colleagues are invited to join me at SUCCEED! 2018 in Irvine, CA from April 12-14, 2010. This Association of Fitness Studios 1st-ever Major Business Convention & Expo for all aspiring and current studio/gym owners! offers numerous interesting and informative workshops and seminars solely dedicated to fitness businesses (and those looking to start one) of all sizes, disciplines, and tenure… It is with great pleasure that I will be presenting the following seminar:

Stop Selling the Wrong Thing! Set Your Business Up for Financial Success Personal Training revenue and client retention are two of the most relevant challenges facing independent studio owners, yet for more than 20 years the standard approach to drive revenue or improve retention has been to analyze marketing. Unfortunately, the problem typically lies not with the marketing, the facility, the trainers or the pricing… it lies in the business model itself. Simply put – selling personal training packages is not conducive to long-term fiscal success. This seminar will introduce a new, more effective business model for personal training, explain why you need to change your customers’ mindset and describe how to adjust the training paradigm itself to ensure optimum results and drive both retention and referrals.

Come talk to me after the presentation if you would like to discuss how Synergy Cubed might be able to help your facility. If you would like to arrange a face-to-face meeting during the conference, email me at cwollan@synergycubed.com.

The seminar is open to all paid conference attendees. Conference information is available at https://www.succeedwithafs.com/.
See you there.

The Secret Language of Seniors – Marketing to the 55+ Population The 55+ population continues to be one of the most overlooked, undervalued markets in the health club business. Social media presence, interactive blogs and digital communities are great to reach the Gen-X’ers and Millennials but the Baby Boomers… the 50+ demographic who often have more time and money… need to be engaged in ways that they are organic to their tastes and preferences. This seminar will explore some of the pitfalls of relying on contemporary “digital” marketing to attract the 55+ members and discuss some of the options that better connect with, and are more easily understood by, this all-important target demographic.

Come talk to me after the presentation if you would like to discuss how Synergy Cubed might be able to help your facility. If you would like to arrange a face-to-face meeting during the conference, email me at cwollan@synergycubed.com.

Serving the 55+ Population with Programming not Discounts

All my fitness industry colleagues are invited to join me at the MFA 27th Annual International Conference 2018 in New Orleans from Nov 7-10, 2018. The show offers numerous interesting and informative workshops and seminars for Medical Fitness Center Directors & Managers, Medical directors, Hospital CEOs & Administrators, Marketing Directors and other Medical Fitness facility team members… and an expansive expo featuring wall-to-wall booths with a little of everything. It is with great pleasure that I will be presenting the following seminar on Thu., Nov 8, at 9:20am in Hall B/Room 209:

Serving the 55+ Population with Programming not Discounts The 55+ population continues to be one of the most overlooked, undervalued markets in the fitness/wellness & recreation landscape. Countless big-box brands and boutique studios are popping up featuring bright colors, high-energy music and low price points to appeal to the Gen-X and Millennials, yet even in many multi-purpose recreation facilities, the Baby Boomers… the 50+ demographic who often have more time and money… receive Seniors Discounts and “Seniors” classes. And that’s it. The 55+ member needs fitness/wellness programming to keep them healthy and active AS they age, not just accommodations after the fact. This seminar will explore some options, explain how to “think clinically and implement socially”, and why these programs may be necessary inclusions to your facility’s footprint.

Come talk to me after the presentation if you would like to discuss how Synergy Cubed might be able to help your facility. If you would like to arrange a face-to-face meeting during the conference, email me at cwollan@synergycubed.com.

Is Customer Service Dead… Or Does It Just Stink?

All my fitness industry colleagues are invited to join me at the Club Industry Show 2018 in Chicago from Oct 24-26, 2018. The show offers numerous interesting and informative workshops and seminars for club owners, managers and department heads… and an expansive expo featuring wall-to-wall booths with a little of everything. It is with great pleasure that I will be presenting the following seminar on Thu., Oct 25, at 4:30pm in Blvd C:

Is Customer Service Dead… Or Does It Just Stink? The digital age, competitive landscape and tech-savvy consumer have forced health clubs to reevaluate customer service. Service must be more than a directive… it must be a culture, fully embraced by everyone from Owner to Janitor. As business models evolve, the natural assumption is that customer service is parallel to services offered, but that’s not true! The biggest challenge is that while more than 75% of fitness businesses believe they provide stellar customer service… more than 80% of those businesses’ consumers believe they don’t. This seminar will ensure your efforts exceed customer expectations. Make your members happy!

Come talk to me after the presentation if you would like to discuss how Synergy Cubed might be able to help your facility. If you would like to arrange a face-to-face meeting during the conference, email me at cwollan@synergycubed.com.

The seminar is open to all paid conference attendees. Non-attendees may purchase sessions a la carte at clubindustryshow.com. See you there.
